Humphrey's of Tiverton Acquires Beach Paint

May 1, 2009 – TIVERTON – Humphrey’s, a local Pittsburgh Paints (PPG) retailer and building materials supplier has acquired the paint division of fellow PPG dealer, Richardson’s Beach Paint and Hardware of Middletown, Rhode Island. 
 
Humphrey’s has moved Beach Paint to a 2,000 sq. ft. retail space located at 750 Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown – just 1.24 miles from Richardson’s existing shop at 58 Aquidneck Avenue.  Beach Paint officially opened for business inside its newly renovated location on Monday, May 4.  Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m..  
 
In addition to a new storefront, Beach Paint has received a fresh, new logo design which includes an abstract blue paintbrush stroke and ocean wave – symbolic of the paint store’s close proximity to Newport’s beaches.  The logo is the work of the professional graphic design firm Stillpoint Studios based in the Greater Boston area. Beach Paint which employs four staff members marks Humphrey’s first stand-alone paint store and its second Pittsburgh Paints location. Humphrey’s also offers a full service Pittsburgh Paints Paint Shoppe inside its flagship Humphrey’s Building Supply Center at 590 Main Road in Tiverton.
